Learn to Bike Trails Clinic!
Love running single-track? Looking for a way to cross-train and stay injury free in the same amazing trails? Join us for a six-week clinic that will teach runners how to keep both feet off the ground! The clinic is designed for those who know how to ride a bike but don't feel confident riding single-track. Experienced trail cyclists may also join, as the instructor will have volunteers available to take them out on rides while the new trail cyclists do skill drills. This is a completely non-threatening, open to every age and fitness level, clinic. Read below for all the important details.
Clinic Dates: Sunday, May 12 - June 16, 2019
Time: 9:00 am - 10:30 am. Arrive by 8:45am.
Locations: TBA prior to first clinic. Locations will vary throughout river valley.
Fee includes: Insurance for every participant. Coach's time is being donated. Any extra monies will be given to EMBA for trail maintenance.
My name is Siobhán, a gaelic name that is pronounced Shivon. I have been mountain biking for about 20 years, mostly in Whistler and Squamish, and now in Edmonton's incredible 150-kilometres of river valley trails! Biking is both a social and individual sport to me. I love pushing myself to ride technical trails and long distances, and at the same time I am happiest when I am out on the trails with friends. My aim for our bike clinic is to create a warm and welcoming introduction to trail riding, and I hope that you will love it as much as I do!
